You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of your health care costs.

If you do not have health insurance or are not using it for your care, you generally have the right to a written estimate of expected charges before receiving services. You can request an estimate before scheduling.

The estimate explains the expected cost of your care, including related items and services such as tests, medicines, and equipment. Ask each provider or facility involved for an estimate of its charges.

Our estimate includes the services HAMG charges you for. For an immigration package paid to HAMG, this includes the laboratory testing included in that package. Other laboratories and imaging centers that bill you directly provide their own estimates; any price sheets we share are for reference.

When to expect your written estimate

• Appointments scheduled 3–9 business days ahead: within 1 business day after scheduling.
• Appointments scheduled at least 10 business days ahead: within 3 business days after scheduling.
• Estimates requested before scheduling: within 3 business days of your request.

Keep a copy. If a provider or facility bills you at least $400 more than its estimate, you may dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
